How We Rate Bitcoin Betting Sites and Casinos
Every rating on this site is built from the same checklist. No vibes, no marketing weighting - just a set of practical criteria that matter to actual users.
Why a public methodology
Comparison sites lose value the moment readers cannot tell where a number came from. We publish our methodology so you can read a review, see the rating, and trace it back to specific decisions. If a site rates 4.6/5, you should be able to look at the criteria and see why.
The rating criteria
- Licensing and transparency. Where is the operator licensed? Is the company information findable? A missing license is not always a deal-breaker for a crypto-first site, but unclear ownership absolutely is.
- Crypto payment experience. Which coins and networks are supported? Are deposit and withdrawal flows simple and well-documented? Are minimums and fees reasonable?
- Withdrawal speed. The single most important measure of a sportsbook's quality for everyday users. We weight it heavily.
- Bonus terms. Wagering, max bet, eligible games, expiry, max cashout, contribution rates. We read every line.
- Sportsbook markets. Range across major sports, plus depth on the leagues bettors actually use. Live betting stability is part of this.
- Casino game quality. Provider mix, slot library size, live dealer rooms, originals, and how transparent the operator is about RTP.
- KYC policy. What is asked for, when it is triggered, and how long it takes. Selective KYC done well is a fine policy - opaque KYC is not.
- Limits. Both minimum and maximum, on stakes and on withdrawals. Useful limits matter more than headline maxes.
- User experience. Site speed, mobile usability, search, navigation and account management.
- Reputation. Track record on disputes, payouts and bonus enforcement, drawn from public records and reader reports.
- Responsible gambling tools. Deposit, loss and wager limits, time-outs, self-exclusion. Sites that lack these get marked down.
How a star rating is built
Each criterion is scored on a one-to-five scale. The final rating is not a simple average - withdrawal speed, bonus transparency, KYC behaviour and reputation carry more weight than user experience and limits. That weighting is consistent across every review.
What gets a site disqualified
- Confirmed non-payment of legitimate winnings without a clear explanation
- Hidden ownership or refusal to disclose basic operating information
- Bonus terms designed to be unwinnable in practice
- Absence of responsible-gambling tools
How we update ratings
Crypto betting is a moving target. We re-check reviews periodically and after major operator changes (new terms, new license, new ownership, new product). Updated dates are visible on each review. If you find something stale, write in.
